Tourists in Washington react to shutdown as attractions closed


The US government shutdown has entered its second day, and the effects are starting to be felt across the country. Numerous national monuments around the US have closed to visitors, as thousands of federal workers have been placed on unpaid leave.

The BBC spoke to tourists in Washington about the sites they’re unable to visit, and on what lawmakers should do to move forward.
