Moment fireball lights up night sky in Japan

A fireball lit up the sky across many parts of southern Japan on Tuesday evening.

Live cameras at locations across parts of Kyushu and Shikoku captured the white fireball as it illuminated the sky shortly after 23:00 local time (15:00 BST).

The fireball was produced after dust or asteroid fragments burnt up in the atmosphere, according to experts cited by local media.
