Man dons bear costume in Japan Police animal attack drill

Japanese Police and local hunters in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture have practised their response to potential bear attacks in a simulated drill.

The demonstration saw a man dressed as a bear chased off by firecrackers, and showed participants how to safely approach an animal after it has been shot or tranquillised.

Tochigi has seen three bear attacks so far this year, local media reported.
