The Issue: The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Portugal’s recognition of a Palestinian statehood.
Who gave the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and France the right to establish a Palestinian state within the boundaries of Israel (“Palestine mandate,” Sept. 22)?
Are they pandering to their own growing Muslim populations, or is this just plain antisemitism?
Probably both.
These countries have many Jewish residents.
I pray for their safety.
Thank God the United States stands with Israel.

I live in Canada in 2025, but it seems more like early 1930s Germany when Jews were under attack on all sides by their government, police and their neighbors.
At best back then, most of the Gentile population stuck their heads in the sand.
Our liberal prime minister, Mark Carney, announced that he is supporting the creation of yet one more Islamist, terror-state “Palestine.”
Are we living in a dictatorship?
Because it certainly seems like it.
A decision like that should not be made by one man.
Better yet — Canada and other states should stay out of Israel’s business.

The formal recognition of a Palestinian state by Britain, Canada, Australia and Portugal marks a long overdue step toward justice and peace.
More than 150 nations now recognize Palestine.
Yet Israel’s leadership remains defiant, vowing that a Palestinian state “will not happen” while continuing bombardments in Gaza that have already killed over 65,000 people and displaced over half a million.
A global recognition of Palestine must be paired with accountability for Israel’s ongoing atrocities. Without justice, peace will remain an empty promise.

Congratulations to the sponsors of statehood for Palestine.
You have formally recognized the only “state” whose charter calls for the destruction of a United Nations member country, Israel.
You are recognizing an entity without a semblance of democratic governance.
Undoubtedly, those who planned the rape, murder, mutilation, infanticide and burning alive of innocent civilians on Oct. 7 are sharing a congratulatory toast with their hosts in Qatar for the reward you have bestowed upon them.

The Issue: President Trump’s announcement linking Tylenol use while pregnant to autism development.
Out of nowhere, President Trump announced that Tylenol is not safe for pregnant women and that it can cause autism in children (“Headache for new moms,” Sept. 23).
My guess is this is yet another personal vendetta. Neither Trump nor Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. knows anything about science or medicine.

Autism was formally identified in 1911, and Tylenol wasn’t invented until 1955.
The spike in autism diagnoses?
That’s from expanded diagnostic criteria and awareness, not Big Pharma boogeymen.
Stop blaming meds, and start reading history.
